New Chablé Properties in Mexico
Just north of La Paz, Chablé Sea of Cortéz resort features a pristine beach set between two hills overlooking the ocean, with a design that blurs the line between landscape and architecture. SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS
Chablé´s sustainability programs aim to protect natural resources while benefitting local communities. The properties have solar panels installed, water refill stations for guests, waste reduction systems, and recycling plans. Mexican artisan-crafted goods are on sale at the hotel boutiques and in the case of Chablé Yucatán, most staff members are residents of the neighboring town of Chocholá.
A diversity of surroundings is reflected with different practices at each Chablé hotel. At Maroma, guest villas are built on pillars to preserve vegetation and the protected ¨chit¨ palm tree is grown internally. Casa Chablé and Yucatán feature on-site gardens called K’anche’s that provide all aromatic herbs as well as an assortment of seasonal vegetables that are used in the kitchens and spa. Yucatán also maintains a Melipona bee sanctuary where guests can learn about their importance to Maya culture and biodiversity.
