Banyan Tree Mayakoba has eliminated 50% of single-use plastic from the resort in the past two years, exchanging all plastic water bottles for glass bottles and plastic straws for paper straws. The team oversees recycling procedures, separating waste and collaborating with different companies to ensure it goes to the correct destinations.
