Demetria is a design boutique hotel, restaurant, and art gallery located in the Lafayette neighborhood of Guadalajara.

Chic, trendy and contemporary, Demetria is a boutique hotel in the cool design district of Lafayette in Guadalajara that boasts a large art collection, making it as much a gallery as it is a hotel.

Set between two historic houses, Luis Barragán’s Casa Franco and Pedro Castellano’s Casa Quiñones, Demetria was modeled to preserve Guadalajara’s architectural history and reflects a successful combination of contemporary art and Zen comfort.

The 37 suites each vary in design, using materials like slate, glass, repurposed woods and leather to create modern, cutting-edge spaces. External view rooms have impressive vistas over the city and all rooms come with sumptuous bedding and high-tech amenities.  The bathrooms differ in design like the suites, some boast rain showers and others freestanding bathtubs.

At Demetria, you can lounge in the sun by the rooftop pool or enjoy the contemporary Mexican cuisine in the cozy-cool basement restaurant before heading out to explore the colonial city of Guadalajara.
