Hotel Baja Club

The charming Hotel Baja Club is located in the center of Baja Sur’s capital, La Paz, right on the coastal boardwalk.

This beautifully restored, 20th-century villa is the perfect base from which to explore the city, and the area’s wealth of natural wonders. Visit stunning beaches like Balandra, snorkel and kayak the waters of Espíritu Santo Island, and swim with whale sharks in the bay.

Throughout the hotel, a sophisticated and homely décor is expressed through calming muted tones on the walls and original structural details, set off by deep red and blue tile work. A stylish extra layer comes in the form of tastefully minimal furniture, warming lamps and a scattering of leafy green plants.

A newly constructed, four-story extension houses the 32 guest rooms, as well as a spa and rooftop sunset bar looking out to the bay. The accommodations feature comfy, crisp white bedding contrasted by dark furniture, and a continuation of tiles into the ensuite bathrooms. Room categories offer a range of options including patios, garden seating, and private terraces with partial views of the Sea of Cortez.

At the heart of the lovely Hotel Baja Club lays the central patio, with a pergola for al fresco dining, and a pretty pool lined with sand. The warm exposed brick wall sets a characterful backdrop. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared using local ingredients, with a nod to Greek cuisine, and served in the tranquil dining room, patio, or rooftop.
