Künük offers a tranquil stay in the center of Mérida City, the Yucatán´s cultural capital where colorful streets, grand monuments and historic buildings are waiting to be explored.
Thirteen peaceful guest rooms span three floors, with King or Queen size beds for a good night´s rest. The earthy tones, wood furnishings and stone tile floors are lifted by floral notes on textiles, woven lighting, and artwork.
The hotel´s restaurant and bar features dramatic arched windows with pillars, and period oil paintings contrasted by contemporary hanging ceiling sculptures. Künük uses aromatic herbs and vegetables from the garden, with fresh bread baked daily as well as jam and artisanal ice cream.
Relax with mezcals and cocktails inspired by tropical flavors of the region, or take a swim in the outdoor swimming pool, encircled by trees in the leafy green back garden.

Kunuk Hotel commits to sustainability through a range of initiatives. They focus on recycling and reuse, implementing activities to recycle waste and use water-absorbing tiles. Waste is separated into organic and inorganic, with glass jars and bottles reused, and paper sheets repurposed in offices. PET and coffee capsules are sent to collection centers. Single-use amenities are crafted from recycled containers, and refillable dispensers are utilized. The hotel offers bottles made from 100% recycled PET and uses water jugs. Takeaway products are made from corn starch.
Energy consumption is minimized with energy-saving bulbs, natural light, and efficient appliances that receive annual maintenance. Bathrooms feature skylights to maximize natural light. Biodegradable cleaning and maintenance products ensure safety, while natural materials like marble, wood, and Chukum are used for floors, furniture, and finishes.
Kunuk purchases products from local companies and maintains its own herb garden. Collaboration with artisans from Yucatán and Oaxaca enhances the hotel’s decor with handmade textiles, lamps, henequen sponges, and palm slippers. Guest rooms display macramé, palm works, and artworks by Mexican artists. Additionally, the hotel collaborates with local masseuses, shamans, and ceremonial guides.
