Lodge at Uxmal

The Lodge at Uxmal offers a total Yucatan Mayan experience.

Staying at the Lodge Uxmal is like extending your visit to the Uxmal archeological site. The rooms upstairs have thatched roofs, replicating the style of roof under which the Maya of Uxmal would have lived. The hotel is so close to the site that there are even ruins of Maya buildings within the grounds.

The rooms are set among five buildings in the tree-filled gardens and there are two large pools. All rooms have wooden doors carved with Maya figures that open onto spacious cool bedrooms with all mod cons. The bathrooms are large and all have baths, some with Jacuzzi features.

The hotel keeps close ties with its Maya roots and offers a Maya breakfast experience, deep amongst the trees. This experience will take you to a Maya house, with thatched roof and wooden walls, where you will learn a little about the history of the Maya and the culture that continues today. You will hear Maya spoken, and learn about traditional food, enjoying hot chocolate from a natural gourd, tortillas made by hand and a Maya-style omelet.

The hotel has two swimming pools, which make for a refreshing place to take a dip after a few hot hours exploring Uxmal.
