Maroma is EarthCheck Silver certified for sustainability and holds Starlight Certification recognizing best lighting practices that protect the night sky. It safeguards turtle nesting sites, melipona bees, and endemic bird species, while its nursery cultivates thousands of native plants. Partnerships with artisans upcycle glass and textiles into guest amenities, while soap recycling through NGO Sacando Espuma supports hygiene access. Bikes are later donated to Maya communities, and uniforms are designed by Collectiva Concepción to support Mexican craftspeople. Culinary sourcing is 90% Mexican, half from Yucatán, including seafood from local cooperatives as part of Pesca con Futuro.
