Las Ventanas al Paraiso

Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort, is a luxury beach hotel situated between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

Nestled on a cliff edge overlooking the ocean, this Rosewood hotel is beautifully designed in keeping with the external environment. Undulating curves and white buildings reflect the waves and crisp white sand below.

Each suite showcases traditional Mexican design and architecture with intricate detailing in the hand carved furniture, perfect tile work and beautiful artwork. Even the most basic rooms boast the highest level of luxury meaning that you can’t go wrong.  The bathrooms offer oversized tubs and showers and some suites have external jacuzzis.  All rooms come with high-tech amenities and deluxe Bvlgari toiletries as standard.The hotel has four restaurants, a Rosewood spa, and an infinity pool that snakes around the hotel.

The Rosewood actively hires from, partners with, and promotes those within the local community to strengthen the economy, improve the prospects of small businesses, and build sustainable livelihood pipelines.

Recent university graduates are recruited and trained in the hospitality industry to gain experience, and artisan pieces are sourced straight from local craftspeople, with some on sale at the hotel. Seven monthly scholarships are awarded to children of unionized associates who study to university level plus annual support is given for the education of the union staff children.

The hotel reduces, reuses, recycles and upcycles in addition to implementing an optimal waste separation system including designated waste bins, training, supervision, and correct disposal with Natura Baja garbage collection company. Organic waste is used to create compost, all plastic has been removed from guest amenities in rooms and the transparent glass generated at Las Ventanas is taken directly to the local glass factory to be converted into new material.

In conjunction with SEMARNAT (an environmental Mexican government agency), the Rosewood takes care of the beach area where turtles seasonally mate and lay their eggs. The hotel has prevention staff, who are trained to contact the appropriate authorities, manage the situation, and move the eggs to a safe area. Constant beach cleanings help to remove all foreign/physical matter from the sand, preventing it from reaching the sea and ensuring that these beaches are safe for turtles.

The Rosewood partners with the Letty Coppel Foundation to finance new mobile medical units, which assist in detecting cancer and other causes of illness.

Goals for The Rosewood group include reducing energy and water consumption across their portfolio by 25% by 2025, achieving 100% carbon neutrality by 2050, and diverting 70% of waste from landfills by 2025, with the aim of zero waste.
