Day 1:  Private Airport Transfer to hotel , Mexico City

Today you will be met by your driver outside of customs (international flights) and will be privately transferred to your hotel, for check–in, Tonight, get ready to start this adventure by having a unique experience.

Set off on an extraordinary adventure as you kickstart your journey with a special, after-hours privately guided visit of the National Anthropology Museum. Mexico´s most visited museum showcases a vast collection of fascinating artifacts from a myriad of cultures, housed within a renowned architectural design by Pedro Ramirez Vasquez.  

Your private guide will lead you on a journey through the museum´s vast collection of artifacts that tell the stories of Mesoamerica. As you explore these fascinating relics and admire their craftsmanship, your expert will bring to life the myths and secrets of ancient civilizations, from the legend of the five suns depicted on the 24-ton Aztec Sunstone, to the tomb of King Pakal found at Palenque, Chiapas. 

After taking a deep dive into history, delight your tastebuds with dinner in a city celebrated for its world-class chefs and thriving culinary scene, (restaurant suggestion will be provided, meals not included). Conclude the day with a private transfer to your hotel. 

Day 2: Taste of Coyoacán: Frida Kahlo, Cooking Class & Pairing Experience 

Take a deep dive into Mexican art and gastronomy with this full day experience. Walk in the footsteps of Frida Kahlo, wander the tranquil suburb of Coyoacán, and prepare Mexican cuisine like you´ve never seen it before!  Step into the creative world of Frida Kahlo at Casa Azul, the artist´s beloved lifelong home, for a fascinating insight into how the artist worked and lived. Preserved as it would have been in Frida´s mid-20th century Mexico, you´ll be immersed in her world as you study the painter´s personal objects and original artwork on show. In recent years, a collection of Frida´s clothes and bathroom items were uncovered, giving you an intimate insight into how the artist dealt with the physical limitations caused by a traumatic accident in her youth.  

Soak up the charm of Coyoacán with your private guide, an area that feels more like a peaceful village than the suburb of a sprawling metropolis! Wander through cobblestone streets, leafy green plazas, and depending on time and interest, you may like to explore the local market, the heart of any Mexican neighborhood.  Meet your private chef at their cooking studio in Coyoacán and roll up your sleeves for a hands-on culinary experience. Under expert guidance, you´ll prepare a 4-course feast of Mexican flavors, journeying from traditional corn patties (sopes) with exotic bugs, to dough-less pre-Hispanic tamales (Mextlapiques), to the rich and complex notes of red Oaxacan mole. This cacao-based dish calls for an array of ingredients such as dried pasilla, guajillo and ancho chilis as well as raisins and almonds. Once finished, gather around the dining table to enjoy your efforts, with each course accompanied by a pairing and tasting of regional Mexican spirits; mezcal, sotol, and bacanora.  

Upon conclusion, you´ll be driven back to your hotel.  

Day 3: Hot Air Balloon Over Teotihuacán at Sunrise and Explore the Ancient City and Historical Center

Explore the mighty Teotihuacán by sky and land with a private local guide. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its vast pyramids, intricate ruins, and fascinating history. After a pickup from your hotel journey with your expert to the ancient Mesoamerican city, located just outside the capital (50km/1h15min).  

Witness the sunrise over the Valley of Teotihuacán as you ascend in your own private hot air balloon. The early start is well-rewarded with serene views over the magnificent Sun and Moon Pyramids, a true spectacle in the soft morning light. After a gentle flight, enjoy a traditional landing toast with sparkling wine and head for breakfast at a nearby restaurant.

The adventure continues on foot inside the archaeological zone. Traverse the grounds with your host, uncovering millenary structures that have stood the test of time and hold deep cultural and spiritual significance. Walk the Avenue of the Dead central thoroughfare flanked by impressive temples and palaces — as your guide brings this once-vibrant city back to life. Marvel at the beautifully preserved murals, detailed carvings, and architectural wonders that grace the site, while learning about the daily life, rituals, and beliefs of the Teotihuacanos.   

Head back into Mexico City to uncover the Zócalo´s architectural splendor that spans centuries, from the grandeur of pre-Columbian ruins to elegant colonial buildings and modern structures that shape the cityscape. Marvel at the awe-inspiring Metropolitan Cathedral, a masterpiece of Spanish Baroque architecture, take in the facade of the National Palace, and wander along the lively Avenida Francisco Madero, lined with bustling shops and colorful street vendors. Pause to admire the Palace of Fine Arts, a true architectural gem that seamlessly blends Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. 

During the day, time for an authentic lunch (not included) will be made at one of the city´s many restaurant options. 

Day 4: Mexico City to  Costa Alegre

Today after breakfast and hotel check out you will be met in your hotel lobby by your driver and driven to Mexico City International Airport (between 30- 45 minutes),  where our airport supervisor will be waiting with your boarding pass ready to help you check-in your luggage. Upon arriving to the Mexico´s dramatic Pacific coastline you will be privately driven to the beautiful Four Seasons Tamarindo.
