Today, you’ll experience the tranquil beauty of Xochimilco. Sail through its ancient canals aboard a traditional trajinera, making your way to one of the last surviving chinampas— These small plots of land are built up from the canal beds and used to grow crops, a sustainable technique that dates back to Mesoamerican times.
