Day 3: Exploring Mayan Nature – Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve Adventure
Thousands of years ago, the exceptional natural beauty along this stretch of coastline was so revered by the Mayans, that they named it Sian Ka´an, or, “The Place where Heaven Begins”. Today, Sian Ka´an is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Mexico´s largest protected areas, with 528,148 hectares of intricately linked marine, coastal and terrestrial ecosystems.
With your private guide, embark on an adventure into the northern reaches of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve and learn all about its unique and diverse ecosystem. Experience manmade canals carved by the Mayan civilization, along with various temples used to control the once-busy commercial trade routes, that connected mighty Mayan cities like Cobá and Muyil. Keep an eye out for incredible wildlife encounters with the likes of mighty ospreys, stealthy crocodiles and gentle manatees – also great for birdwatching! There will also be time to enjoy a short hike through the jungle for an up-close look at the remains of a Mayan temple. Day 4: Tulum to Holbox Island
It’s on to the next adventure – a 135km (2.5 hours) journey from Tulum to the docks at Chiquilá with your private driver. Once arriving to the small port town, you will be accompanied on the ferry to Isla Holbox and upon arrival to the island, we will help you to the door of your hotel.

Day 6: A Journey Within
Today is reserved to slow down the pace and travel inward by enjoying the wellness activities the Nomade Holbox hotel has to offer. Our suggested experience is the “Wataflow” which is a therapeutic approach centered around movement and the healing properties of water. Following the footsteps of the Greeks who honored the healing power of the sea, Wataflow incorporates somatic movements, massage, breathwork and meditation. It is meant to unlock deep relaxation, a remembrance of the flow-state and in many cases, a rebirth. Later in the evening, attend a Cacao Ceremony, a 75-minute session combining yoga, Tibetan reiki, and shamanic practices which a focus on exploring your inner self.

Day 8: Departure Day – Isla Holbox to Cancun Airport
Today after breakfast and hotel check out you will meet your driver who will accompany you on the ferry to Muelle de Chiquila (roughly 40-minute boat ride). Upon arrival to the mainland from Isla Holbox, your driver will take you to the Cancun Airport (2.5 hrs., 135 Km). for your onward flight home.
