Day 1: Arrive in Los Cabos Arrive at Los Cabos International Airport and meet your private driver for the journey to your Hotel in Los Cabos.. Meals are not included during the Los Cabos stay. Overnight: El Ganzo
Day 2: Prepare for the Expedition and Seek Humpback Whales Meet your private driver and travel to Whale HQ to check in for the San Ignacio expedition. Join a photography workshop with expert advice on capturing whales in motion. A seasonal ocean safari may also be arranged, taking you onto the waters off Los Cabos in search of humpback whales. Listen through a hydrophone and watch for breaching adults or mothers traveling with calves before returning to your hotel. Overnight: Nobu Hotel
Day 3: Fly to San Ignacio and Meet the Gray Whales Transfer privately to the Los Cabos FBO for a shared charter flight to San Ignacio. On arrival, continue directly to the lagoon for your first chance to encounter gray whales, aboard a small panga-style boat. A naturalist guide joins each vessel, which carries approximately six or seven guests. After time observing the whales in their winter habitat, travel to the luxury camp and settle into your private tent. Overnight: San Ignacio Lagoon Camp
Day 4: Explore San Ignacio Lagoon Join three 90-minute whale encounters throughout the day, returning to camp for meals and time to relax between outings. Each journey onto the lagoon offers another opportunity to observe gray whales resting, socializing or caring for their calves. When not on the water, explore independently by kayak through the mangroves or walk along the beach and lagoon shoreline. Overnight: San Ignacio Lagoon Camp
Day 5: Spend Another Day with the Gray Whales Return to the lagoon for three further whale encounters with your naturalist guides and local captains. Changing light, weather and whale behavior make every outing distinct, creating new opportunities for observation and photography. Between boat trips, enjoy meals at camp, exchange stories with fellow travelers or spend more time exploring the surrounding mangroves and coastal landscape. Overnight: San Ignacio Lagoon Camp
Day 6: Say Goodbye to San Ignacio After an early breakfast, return to the lagoon for a final encounter with the gray whales. Fly back to Los Cabos by shared charter, arriving around midday. From the airport, continue independently to an onward flight or take the shared transfer to your Los Cabos hotel. A final night in Los Cabos is strongly recommended (not included).
